Tom Dupuis’ practice concentrates on the development, acquisition, sale and financing of commercial real estate and conventional and renewable energy projects, particularly wind, solar and geothermal energy projects. He represents owners and sponsors, developers, lenders and other participants in a wide array of transactions.

Representative Matters

  • Representing investors and developers in the development, construction, acquisition, sale and financing of wind energy projects throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico, including the formation of joint ventures and strategic partnerships and tax monetization transactions. 
  • Representing developers and investors in the development, construction, acquisition, sale and financing of solar energy projects (PV and thermal) throughout the United States. 
  • Representing investors and developers in the development, acquisition and financing of geothermal energy projects.
  • Representing a sponsor in connection with the repowering of several wind energy projects located in California. 
  • Represented a developer and wind turbine equipment manufacturer in numerous turbine supply, EPC and warranty transactions throughout the United States.
  • Representing lenders and investors in the acquisition and financing of conventional power plants throughout the United States. 
  • Represented a sponsor in connection with $70 and $112 million project financings for two portfolios of wind projects located in California. 
  • Represented potential bidder in the acquisition of concession and lease rights for a major US commercial airport. 
  • Representing a large private real estate company in acquisition, development, sale and financing transactions throughout the United States. 
  • Representing a developer of active adult communities with respect to the acquisition, development, construction and financing of projects in California and Mexico. 
  • Representing a private real estate fund in formation, investment and acquisition matters. 
  • Representing a developer in the sale and leasing of industrial warehouse and distribution centers in Southern California.
