CMT-Related Insurance Matters

Our CMT group works with our insurance law practice group to advise communications, media and technology companies on insurance-related matters. We also regularly represent insurers, banks and private equity firms with regard to insurance transactions, arbitrations and administrative and court proceedings involving insurance of CMT businesses. We have handled transactions involving insurance of CMT assets that include networks, towers, technology, radio transmitters and antennas, security, privacy and content, Internet peering, IP addresses and domain names and regulatory fees and taxes. We have litigated cases involving public and third-party liability in the context of stand-alone insurance programs or combined with project and other financing transactions. We advise on the insurance aspects of mergers and acquisitions on both a single state and multi-jurisdictional basis in conjunction with captive insurers, protected cells and the commercial insurance and reinsurance markets in the U.S., Bermuda, London, the EU and in emerging markets worldwide.
