Chadbourne was founded in New York in 1902, and the New York office continues to serve as the firm’s global headquarters. New York lawyers advise in all of the firm’s practice areas, including bankruptcy and financial restructuring, corporate/M&A, intellectual property, products liability litigation, securities litigation, commercial litigation, international arbitration, white collar litigation, project finance, energy, technology, employment, insurance and reinsurance, real estate, tax, trusts and estates and Latin America investment.

The New York office has long embraced its responsibility to the community at large and strongly encourages involvement in pro bono work. New York lawyers provide pro bono services in a wide range of areas, from providing free legal services to those who cannot afford them as well as mentoring high school students in moot court/mock trial competitions to serving on the boards of legal service and not-for-profit organizations.

In summer 2014, the New York moved to a new location at 1301 Avenue of the Americas. The new office offers a more efficient workspace and modern technology infrastructure to better serve our clients.
