The Legal 500 Europe, Middle East and Africa 2015 ranked Chadbourne as a top-tier law firm for “Energy and Infrastructure,” “Construction” and “Corporate and M&A” in the United Arab Emirates.
Chadbourne has a long-standing commitment to the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. Today, our MENA practice offers significant depth and skill in transactional matters and litigation.
We counsel MENA and international businesses on project financings, acquisitions and divestitures, joint ventures, private equity investments, capital-raising activities, funds formation, corporate governance and dispute resolution in the region and the rest of the world. Our lawyers offer clients a wealth of experience in such sectors as power and water, renewable energy, oil and gas exploration and oil field services, construction and real estate development, health care, education, financial services, telecommunications, technology, logistics, consumer goods and government relations.
Our group spans our Dubai, Istanbul and London offices and works cohesively as a team, and we also frequently draw on the expertise of Chadbourne lawyers in our other offices on outbound matters.
As an extension of our commitment to the region, we have established special programs such as our MENA Fellowship Program, which each year funds one law student’s summer legal internship with a non-profit, public service organization working in or on Turkey or the Middle East and North Africa. We also offer a one-year foreign lawyer program for lawyers from the MENA region, including Turkey. Chadbourne also publishes a quarterly “Turkey-MENA Deal Update” that lists significant transactions in Turkey and the Middle East/North Africa, which has earned a distinguished reputation.
