New York - Project Finance
The New York office of Chadbourne seeks a Project Finance Associate with three to five years of experience. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in project finance specific transactions. The candidate must have strong competency in drafting and negotiating the principal financing documentation (including credit agreements and depositary agreements) as well as experience in drafting or reviewing project documentation (including EPC contracts and/or supply contracts). Washington, D.C. - Project Finance
The Washington, D.C. office of Chadbourne seeks several Project Finance Associates with three to seven years of experience. Candidates must have strong competency in drafting and negotiating financing documents and/or project-related contracts such as EPCs, PPAs, etc. Experience in project finance is highly preferred, but candidates with exceptional backgrounds in other finance or project development practices are also encouraged to apply. Candidates should also have top academic and firm credentials. Spanish or Korean speaking skills are a plus. The Washington, DC office of Chadbourne seeks an Associate specializing in environmental law with two to five years of environmental experience to join the Project Finance practice. The ideal candidate will have top firm and academic credentials and will have prior experience with environmental permitting and the interpretation of the National Environmental Policy Act, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, and Comprehensive Environmental Response and Compensation and Liability Act. Experience with environmental issues in the context of the construction and operation of power generation and infrastructure projects and the purchase and sale of commercial enterprises desired. Washington, D.C. - Tax
The Washington, D.C. office of Chadbourne seeks a tax associate to join its Project Finance group. The ideal candidate will have three to four years of experience in tax planning and structuring relating to partnerships or leasing. It would also be helpful if candidates have familiarity with or a background in some or all of the following substantive tax areas: partnership taxation, energy tax credits and other tax issues specific to energy investments, inbound and outbound foreign tax planning, tax ownership concepts, leasing and other forms of tax optimal asset based financings. The position will require help with research, drafting and managing transactions, primarily in the renewable energy field (wind, solar, geothermal, biomass, ocean energy, fuel cells), but more broadly to all asset based financings of large energy and infrastructure assets.
