I-69 Highway P3 Project in Indiana
Chadbourne represented Isolux Infrastructure Netherlands B.V. in its successful proposal and related financing for the concession to design, build, finance, operate and maintain section 5 of the I-69 highway corridor in Indiana pursuant to a public-private partnership. The project included approximately US$244 million of private activity bonds issued by the Indiana Finance Authority, approximately US$40 million of equity investments and US$80 million of public investment by the State of Indiana in the form of milestone payments. Unlike traditional US highway projects, I-69 section 5 is being developed through an innovative public-private partnership, or P3, pursuant to which the developer is assuming the risks and responsibilities for project development and financing.
Line 2 of the Lima Metro project
Chadbourne is representing the lenders, underwriters and other financial intermediaries in connection with the financing of Line 2 of the Lima Metro project in Peru. The financing consists of a revolving credit facility to serve as a bridge loan, as well as the issuance of project bonds which monetize the stream of payments to be made to the Concessionaire for investments in the Project by the Republic of Peru, acting through the Ministry of Transportation, in the form of equal installments over a certain period. In addition, the financing will include an IDB secured loan. This transaction was named the 2015 "PPP Deal of the Year (Americas)" by Project Finance International, the 2015 "Latin American Multi-Source Financing Deal of the Year" by IJGlobal and the 2015 "Deal of the Year" by Trade Finance.
