Seminar on Multilateral Agency Project Finance and Political Risk Insurance

March 20, 2012

In the aftermath of the global financial crisis and recent political developments such as the Arab uprisings, global risk perceptions are on the rise. The availability of capital for major projects in emerging markets could suffer. Growing uncertainty has led to increasing demand both for financing from public agencies dedicated to supporting projects in the developing world and for political risk insurance. Turkish companies may need to contend with these issues for domestic projects and may also benefit from the opportunities these programs afford for investments abroad. Participants heard the latest insights and practical advice about agency financing and political risk insurance for emerging market projects.
