September 21, 2011
Date: Wednesday, September 21, 2011
Time: 8:30 – 10:00 a.m.
Location: Chadbourne & Parke LLP 30 Rockefeller Plaza (between 5th and 6th Avenues) 36th Floor Board Room New York, NY
Presented By: Heidi Lawson, Richard Liskov, Dan Rabinowitz, Joy Langford
In this 90-minute breakfast CLE program, Heidi, Richard and Dan will provide insights on today's fast-moving developments in insurance regulation on both sides of the Atlantic.
Richard, a former general counsel of the NY insurance department, will focus, among other things, on the pending merger of that department with the state banking department, and what the experience of other states that have merged such functions can teach us. Dan will discuss the impact of NAIC reforms and Federal law changes, including Dodd-Frank, on transactional activity in the sector. Heidi, resident in Chadbourne's London office and a former FSA staff member, will address some current European insurance regulatory trends including the impact of the UK Bribery Act.
New York transitional/non-transitional CLE credit: 1.5 professional practice
This provocative and instructive breakfast program is not to be missed by insurance company counsel, other insurance company professionals and compliance or transactional professionals in other areas of financial services.
