Dariusz Michalski's practice focuses on complex project financing and real estate transactions in Poland. He also has extensive experience in privatizations, acquisitions and joint venture transactions, in which he has represented both Polish and international clients.
Representative Matters
- Represented an international real estate development group in the construction, financing and refinancing of the Warsaw Financial Center building.
- Represented an international real estate investment company in its acquisition of Wiśniowy Business Park office buildings and the Diamond Business Park warehouse building in Warsaw.
- Represented, as Polish counsel, an Austrian construction company in a joint venture for the development of the Intercontinental Hotel in Warsaw.
- Represented a real estate investment consortium in the financing of an acquisition of eleven shopping galleries in Poland.
- Represented an international cinema group subsidiary in setting up a chain of multiplex cinemas in Poland.
- Represented a major Polish holding company in the privatization of a leading Polish generic pharmaceuticals manufacturer.
- Represented Caelum in a number of property acquisition transactions.
- Represented KGHM Polska Miedź S.A., world's major producer of copper and silver, in its foreign investment transactions.
Honors
Mr. Michalski is listed in Chambers Global – The World’s Leading Lawyers for Business (2005-2007) for real estate law and in Chambers Europe – Europe's Leading Lawyers for Business (2008-2011) for real estate law in Poland. He is recognized as a recommended lawyer in the area of mergers and acquisitions in Poland in PLC Which Lawyer? (2010).
