Christy Rivera has experience in a variety of bankruptcy situations, including the representation of debtors in pre-packaged and conventional Chapter 11 cases, the representation of secured and unsecured lenders and creditors in Chapter 11 and cross-border insolvencies, and the representation of foreign insurance companies involved in Section 304 ancillary proceedings in the United States.

- Multiple creditors, including hedge funds and other private institutions, in the Lehman Brothers bankruptcy cases.
- The ad hoc committee of swap counterparties in the restructuring of the monoline insurance company, ACA Financial Guaranty.
- Multiple account holders in the Refco Chapter 11 cases.
- PanAmSat Corporation, as creditor in the Verestar Chapter 11 cases.
- The Royal Bank of Scotland plc, as creditor in the Enron Corp. Chapter 11 cases.
- The St. Paul Travelers Companies Inc., as issuer of surety bonds in the Asarco and Bethlehem Steel Chapter 11 cases.
- European bank group in Lernout-Hauspie and Dictaphone Chapter 11 cases.
- Chivor S.A. E.S.P. in its successful pre-packaged Chapter 11 case in the Southern District of New York.
- Debtor in possession financing lender in Big V Holding Corp. Chapter 11 cases.
- Several foreign insurance companies seeking injunctive relief pursuant to Section 304 ancillary proceedings in the United States.
