Practice Description

Charles O’Neill served as Chadbourne’s Managing Partner from 1998 to 2010. He currently serves as the Firm's General Counsel.  Mr. O'Neill has extensive commercial, insurance coverage and product liability litigation experience in many federal and state courts.

Representative Matters

  • Represented a major U.S. corporation in a claim as plaintiff for breach of indemnity provisions regarding environmental liabilities in an agreement of sale of a subsidiary. 
  • Represented a major U.S. insurance broker in a series of cases involving restrictive covenants. 
  • Represented a satellite company in the defense of a tortious interference with contract claim. 
  • Represented a major U.S. insurer as its national trial counsel responsible for that client’s coordinated defense in all coverage actions in the United States involving environmental and breast implant claims. 
  • Represented air carriers in major personal injury and property damage actions. 
  • Acted as national trial counsel for a major U.S. corporation in its defense of product liability actions nationwide involving telecommunications equipment.

Mr. O'Neill is cited in the 2006-2012 editions of Super Lawyers in the specialty of business litigation.
