Chadbourne has been active in China since the early 1970s, originally from a base in Hong Kong, and since 2000 from our representative office in Beijing.
The Beijing office represents Chinese and international clients in a range of corporate transactions, including cross-border mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital, restructurings, financings, and joint ventures and other strategic investments. It also serves as a base for members of the firm’s pre-eminent project finance/energy practice to advise clients on the development, financing, sale and restructuring of energy and infrastructure projects located in Asia and throughout the world.
We have experience across a range of industries, and are able to draw upon the expertise of lawyers in the firm’s international network of 12 offices, including recognized leaders in advising clients in the energy industry – from oil and gas, to power generation, to renewable energy.
