Heartland Food Corp.

Chadbourne advised Heartland Food Corp. on the sale of more than 240 Burger King® restaurants in Illinois, Indiana, North Carolina and Wisconsin for $155 million in cash to a New York private fund, GSO Capital Partners. Heartland had been Burger King's second-largest franchisee. Heartland purchased the outlets starting in late 2003 from AmeriKing during that company's Chapter 11 proceedings, with Chadbourne acting as Heartland's counsel.
