Jack Greenwald spoke on a panel, Fraud, Anti-Corruption & Corporate Compliance at the Gulf Summit 2009 on April 28, 2009 at the Shangri-La Hotel, Dubai, UAE.  His topic was "International & Regional Anti-bribery Update"  and he discussed:

  • Anti-bribery: What are the Regional and International Laws
  • OECD Convention on Combating the Bribery of Foreign Public Officials in International Business Transactions
  • Comparison with UN Convention against Corruption, focusing on parties' obligations as they affect companies and individuals undertaking business abroad

  • Directors and officers liability for the acts of subordinate employees under regional and international laws
  • Corporate liability versus individual liability
  • Roles and responsibilities of directors, officers and managers in relation to the establishment of compliance systems
  • Insurance coverage for directors' and officers' liability
