Chadbourne Receives High Rankings in Legal 500 US 2011

Several Chadbourne & Parke practice groups and attorneys were recognized recently by Legal 500 US 2011 as leaders in their field.

Five Chadbourne practice groups and 20 attorneys received high marks in the annual survey, which is based on recommendations from clients and peers, as well as extensive research conducted by the Legal 500 staff.

Chadbourne's project finance team was ranked in the top tier for Finance: project finance: advice to sponsors, and in the second tier for Finance: project finance: advice to lenders, with five Chadbourne project finance attorneys singled out for their expertise in this area. The group's "large team of partners" was commended for its "excellent quality" and "tremendous value" and was hailed as "the first choice of many clients."

The firm's products liability counseling and defense group, described as a "'formidable force' renowned for its 'strong institutional knowledge coupled with great knowledge of the industry, risk trends and best practices for risk mitigation,'" was ranked in the second tier for Product liability and mass tort defense: consumer products (including tobacco).

Chadbourne was ranked in the second tier for Mergers, acquisitions and buyouts: M&A: middle-market ($500 - $999M), with the group being noted for its "in-depth understanding and expertise in every major industry."

The firm also maintained its ranking in Tax: domestic tax: East Coast, a category in which clients interviewed by Legal 500 described the group as "beyond excellent in every category."

In addition, Chadbourne lawyers were recognized for their White-collar criminal defense and Insurance: non-contentious (corporate) expertise.
