Christopher Flood Joins Chadbourne & Parke Beijing Office

International Partner to Focus on Cross-Border M&A, Private Equity

August 9, 2010 -- The international law firm of Chadbourne & Parke announced today that Christopher Flood has joined the firm as an international partner in the Beijing office.

"We are delighted to welcome Chris to the firm as we expand our presence in Beijing to better serve the needs of our clients," said Chadbourne Managing Partner Charles K. O'Neill.

Mr. Flood was most recently with Shearman & Sterling LLP in Beijing. His practice focuses on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, private equity and investment transactions. Mr. Flood has advised Chinese companies on overseas M&A deals, including several notable transactions in the energy, financial services and telecommunications sectors, and non-Chinese clients on their acquisitions and investments in China and elsewhere in Asia.

He received a B.A. from Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia, Canada, in 1995 and an LL.B. (magna cum laude) from the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law in 1999. Mr. Flood is admitted in Ontario, Canada, and in New York, and is proficient in Mandarin Chinese.
